That would be me, a 18 year old college sophomore, animal-lover, travel-enthusiast, art-devotee, science nerd, vegetarian, runner, and health foodist. Oh and a chemistry/studio art double major - my two loves, besides food of course. Now instead of straight out telling you some of the places I've traveled, about my animals, etc., I'll show you because who wants to read when you can look at pictures instead? Exactly.

In the summer of 2013, I developed a run for running. I ran my first half marathon that fall and loved every minute. I hope to run a whole marathon in 2014, but due to a foot injury, I'm not sure if my body can handle it. Either way, I love the accomplishment that running gives me, and I hope that it is something that I will continue to do for the rest of my life! And in case it isn't clear yet, I love to eat! My food philosophy is to eat what you want in the most nutritious way you can - even if that means ice cream, cake, etc. I don't believe any food is "unhealthy" when eaten in moderation. But I also believe we should eat foods that will benefit our minds and bodies so we can live our lives to the fullest. As a runner, I am always looking for ways to fuel my body - both in terms of the kinds of food that will give me my best performance and making sure that I eat enough to sustain my active passion. As with many other aspects of life, nutrition is all about balance! Eating healthy can be fun and delicious, and I'm here to prove it.
